Carlie Cormier is a graduate from Nova Scotia Firefighter School and an Emergency Medical Responder. She has completed one year at Mount Allison University and is currently enrolled in her last year at Crandall University completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management. She has worked in the emergency medical dispatch field, and in emergency restoration. Her fluent bilingualism has proven to be an asset throughout her young professional life.
Cormier has distinguished herself as a leader for gender issues through her volunteer work for Camp Courage and her work with the YWCA. She is currently completing her year long applied research project on the subject of women in firefighting where she is partnering with the Moncton Fire Department.
